A plane transporting KHL hockey team Lokomotiv caught fire and crashed just after takeoff from the central Russian city of Yaroslavl Wednesday afternoon. There are varying reports of how many were on the plane, but at least 36 are believed dead.

The plane was transporting members of the Lokomotiv hockey team to Minsk, the capital of Belarus, where they were scheduled to play this week. Several former NHL players play for Lokomotiv, including all-star Pavol Demitra. It’s not known yet whether Demitra was on board the plane.
